EV Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electric and hybrid fleet vehicles, including battery systems, electric drivetrains, and power electronics
• Collaborate with Fleet and Facilities teams to support the installation and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Document all repairs, services, and inspections in fleet management systems
• Assist in developing electrification service protocols and high-voltage safety procedures
• Monitor EV performance data to optimize usage and lifecycle performance
• Support vehicle conversions, software updates, and system retrofits

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2–4 years of experience in vehicle maintenance
• Understanding of high-voltage safety practices and procedures
• Familiarity with EV systems including batteries, inverters, and electric motors
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and related software
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in EV systems or automotive technology
• At least 1 year of experience working specifically on electric or hybrid vehicles
• ASE Certification in Electric Vehicles or Light/Heavy Duty Systems
• CDL A license
