Europe Medical and Scientific Affairs Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the Europe OU Medical & Scientific Affairs strategy for Wellness, OTC, and Oral health categories
• Provide senior medical and scientific leadership across portfolio and innovation decision-making
• Own medical governance and scientific quality across Europe to ensure compliant and scalable execution
• Lead and develop a high-performing Medical Affairs organisation across evidence, category, and market roles
• Sponsor evidence strategy, claims substantiation, and scientific excellence
• Provide medical leadership across the full product lifecycle, including launch excellence and portfolio optimisation
• Partner with R&D, Regulatory, Safety, Legal, and Commercial leaders to enable risk-aware decisions
• Manage external scientific engagement, including advisory boards and expert scientific exchange
• Oversee regional Medical Affairs resource planning, budget stewardship, and capability deployment

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Medical Affairs or Medical & Scientific Affairs leadership within consumer health, OTC, wellness, or pharmaceutical environments
• Proven track record of setting and executing regional medical strategy across multiple categories and markets
• Deep expertise in medical governance, evidence strategy, and claims substantiation in highly regulated environments (EU/UK or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix operating model
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate science into brand and innovation impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree such as a PhD, MD, or PharmD
