ETL Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute the Data Quality framework and operational testing strategies
• Develop automated ETL validation scripts using Pyspark and Python
• Create and maintain DevOps pipelines using YAML code
• Analyze business requirements against technical data modeling specifications
• Create high-level test scenarios and manual test cases
• Perform defect triage and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to ensure data accuracy across multiple source systems
• Architect logical designs for data quality practices, including documentation of processing flows

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in large-scale system implementation or consulting
• Proven expertise in ETL testing and the ETL framework
• Proficiency in automating ETL tests using Pyspark or Python
• Strong experience with DevOps tools and JIRA
• Proficiency in Git source control (GitHub/Bitbucket)
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to analyze data in a Data Warehouse environment
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Ability to create Databricks notebooks to automate manual testing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of DAX queries and data modeling
• Experience testing complex reports using Power BI or Tableau
• Proficiency with YAML and PowerShell
