Ethernet IP Design Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design bring-up and validation for Ethernet IPs across various speeds, including 10G, 25G, 40G, 50G, and 100G.
• Support features such as Auto-Negotiation/Link Training (AN/LT) and IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP).
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers, assisting with debugging, issue resolution, and performance optimization.
• Create high-quality technical collateral, including user guides, reference designs, and technology demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Design, Validation, and Product Engineering to perform root-cause analysis and validate protocol compliance.
• Provide actionable feedback to internal teams to improve IP quality and the overall customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience (7+ years with a Bachelor's degree).
• Hands-on programming experience in VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, Python, Perl, or TCL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FPGA-based design and development.
• Strong foundation in Digital Logic Design and Circuit Design.
• Exposure to Networking/Ethernet protocols and architectures.
• Experience in customer-facing roles with an understanding of business or sales principles.
