ET Consultant

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools for analyzing public institutions using existing literature and data-analysis methods
• Manage databases, including harmonizing survey data and integrating secondary data sources
• Prepare dashboards, graphs, and short analytical products based on relevant datasets
• Collaborate with team members and Task Team Leaders (TTLs) to produce policy notes, reports, and presentations

Requirements

• PhD (or close to completion) in economics, political economy, public policy, public administration, or a relevant discipline
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data and analytics within a government or development organization
• Proficiency in R and Python, including relevant libraries
• Strong research design, data acquisition, cleaning, and management skills
• Technical knowledge of development data domains, such as economic statistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including data visualization

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in another official World Bank language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish)
• Experience with methods of data collection and dissemination related to public sector management
