ET Consultant - Sustainable Finance Expert

Responsibilities

• Design and execute innovative sustainable finance and impact finance product offerings in emerging markets.
• Support the pitching, structuring, and execution of sustainable finance transactions for infrastructure sector clients globally.
• Develop sustainable finance frameworks and support the second-party opinion (SPO) review process.
• Engage with market participants, including commercial banks, DFIs, and sustainability experts, to identify market opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of strategic knowledge programs regarding outcome-based finance and energy transition.
• Support blended finance structuring, fundraising efforts, and donor engagement on climate and sustainability themes.
• Produce regular pipeline updates, reports, and presentation materials regarding climate and sustainable finance transactions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in finance, business, economics, environmental sciences, international development, or engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, sustainable finance, or infrastructure financing within an investment bank, consulting firm, or international financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable finance products, energy transition, climate, and biodiversity issues.
• Hands-on experience in infrastructure financing transactions, including capital markets or green equity.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and manage multiple projects across tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in French.
• Experience working with clients and transactions in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
