Estimator, Major Projects

Responsibilities

• Manage working relationships with clients, internal resources, and third parties including vendors, subcontractors, ESA, and utilities
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties for efficient project execution
• Assist with development of project scopes and objectives with risk mitigation strategies
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress
• Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques
• Measure project performance using metrics such as timelines, cost, and scope
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Negotiate additional work items with customers as approved by management
• Ensure employees follow company and regulatory safety policies and practices

Requirements

• Experience in electrical estimating, project execution, project coordination, or construction operations
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project sequencing, and electrical cost drivers
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Accubid is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial, commercial, municipal, data centre, energy, or BESS projects
• Field experience in electrical construction
• Trade certification, engineering technologist background, or engineering background
