Estimator

Responsibilities

• Develop complete estimates for large, complex heavy civil infrastructure project proposals
• Collaborate with in-house and third-party design and construction engineering disciplines
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of projects
• Conduct site investigations to identify unusual conditions and develop plans of operations
• Prepare and manage subcontract and material supplier solicitations
• Perform design work and technical problem-solving as required during bid preparation
• Stay updated on industry trends, including new equipment, methods, and procedures
• Prepare special engineering studies or reports required for specific bid items

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of construction or engineering experience, specifically with heavy civil infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling software
• Strong mathematical, computer, and organizational skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel as required by the job

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with InEight Estimate (HardDollar)
