About the role
Responsibilities
- Estimate project costs and resources
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to minimize risk and maximize profit
- Support the preparation and submission of tenders
- Work closely with design, planning, commercial, and bid management colleagues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Guide junior team members and share best practices
- Participate in project handovers to ensure smooth transitions to delivery teams
Requirements
- Experience working within a Main Contractor (ideally Tier 2 or above)
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating system software
- Conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong collaborative and relationship-building skills
