About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for major building projects
- Review and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, and specifications
- Source, analyze, and negotiate competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify potential commercial risks and develop strategic mitigation plans
- Propose alternative materials or methods through value engineering to optimize costs
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and senior management during final bid reviews
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in building estimation and tendering
- Strong track record and expertise within the GCC construction market
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in advanced estimation software such as Candy or CostX
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to provide certificates ready for MOFA attestation
