Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed first-principles estimates across direct costs, indirects, and preliminaries
• Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to complete accurate quantity take-offs
• Apply construction methods and staging knowledge to develop practical pricing and assumptions
• Source subcontractor and supplier pricing through market testing and scope alignment analysis
• Identify scope gaps, assumptions, risks, and opportunities within estimates
• Support tender submissions through documentation and collaboration with the bid team
• Maintain cost databases and estimating inputs to improve accuracy and repeatability
• Utilize estimating software and digital tools, including AI-enabled workflows

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience within a civil construction environment
• Prior on-site experience to inform practical and buildable pricing
• Strong commercial awareness regarding the interaction of scope, risk, and price
• Proficiency in adopting digital and AI-enabled tools to improve estimating quality
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing deadlines under pressure
