Estimator

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and pre-bid meetings to determine scope and estimate details
• Prepare clear trade scopes of work and backup documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bidding
• Develop value-based options regarding cost, quality, engineering, and materials
• Maintain relationships with owners, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors
• Support operations teams with pricing change orders and contract issues
• Collaborate with proposal coordinators to assemble complete proposals
• Develop conceptual proposals for business development
• Negotiate and issue subcontracts

Requirements

• 7+ years of estimating experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pre-construction/estimating software
• Strong understanding of estimating methods, cost control, and conceptual estimating
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and produce accurate proposals with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
