Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical quotations for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear projects
• Develop accurate cost estimates by evaluating raw material, labor, equipment, and tooling costs
• Identify and quantify cost uncertainties to ensure reliable costing models
• Update estimates based on project scope changes and revised specifications
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and RFQs to develop proposals
• Obtain pricing for buyout items from approved vendor partners
• Analyze RFQ documentation to summarize requirements and risks for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing
• Experience reading single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications
• Expert knowledge of LV/MV switchgear
• Experience with technical proposals and quotations in electrical manufacturing
• Intermediate knowledge of automation, control, and metering solutions
• Ability to travel up to 25% during the 3-6 month onboarding and training period
