Estimating Director

Responsibilities

• Lead programme-level cost management, including budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Define and implement consistent estimating methodologies and standards across the programme
• Oversee the development and review of estimates at concept, design, procurement, and delivery stages
• Lead independent estimate reviews, benchmarking, and assurance activities
• Provide scenario analysis and "what-if" modelling to support decision-making
• Coordinate with commercial, project management, and planning teams to align cost assumptions
• Ensure cost and estimating processes align with programme governance and public infrastructure frameworks
• Drive continuous improvement in cost management tools and methodologies

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a senior role
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• Extensive experience in cost management and estimating for large-scale programmes
• Strong cost analysis, forecasting, and modelling skills
• Proven stakeholder management and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Infrastructure or public sector programme experience
• Professional certifications such as RICS or PMP
