Essbase Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Dodeca-based financial reporting and analytical solutions
• Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and contribute to large-scale strategic planning
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Dodeca solutions, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment
• Develop and maintain Dodeca components such as Views, Worksheets, Selectors, and Dashboards
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship to junior engineers, and act as a subject matter expert
• Ensure all solutions meet strict quality, performance, security, and compliance standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting Dodeca applications
• Expertise in Oracle Essbase (ASO/BSO), including outline design, calc scripts, and MaxL scripting
• Strong understanding of multidimensional financial modeling and OLAP concepts
• Experience with Star schema design and relational database modeling
• Proficiency with Oracle or SQL Server databases
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX shell scripting for automation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python for automation and data validation
• Knowledge of Oracle EPM tools such as Planning, Financial Reporting, or ODI
• Experience with BPA Automate for financial process automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and release management
• Experience working within financial services or banking environments
• Knowledge of SOX controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
