About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with US import and export regulations and manage program requirements.
  • Evaluate eligibility under USMCA (T-MEC) and SAFE Trains.
  • Manage hydrocarbon permit balances against open purchase orders.
  • Process temporary import permits before SENER and handle steel industry notices.
  • Control certification renewal dates and ensure compliance with IMMEX and CIVA programs.
  • Administer OEA and CIVA certifications through compliance weighting.
  • Conduct audits for sub-maquiladoras and internal OEA processes.
  • Manage temporary regime changes and provide support to the operational team.
  • Coordinate with customs agencies for shipment releases at the US-Canada border.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in similar foreign trade or customs roles.
  • Solid knowledge of import/export processes and customs regulations.
  • Proficiency in IMMEX, CIVA, IVA, IEPS, and OEA certifications.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Intermediate English language proficiency.
  • Availability to travel as required.
