About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with US import and export regulations and manage program requirements.
- Evaluate eligibility under USMCA (T-MEC) and SAFE Trains.
- Manage hydrocarbon permit balances against open purchase orders.
- Process temporary import permits before SENER and handle steel industry notices.
- Control certification renewal dates and ensure compliance with IMMEX and CIVA programs.
- Administer OEA and CIVA certifications through compliance weighting.
- Conduct audits for sub-maquiladoras and internal OEA processes.
- Manage temporary regime changes and provide support to the operational team.
- Coordinate with customs agencies for shipment releases at the US-Canada border.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in similar foreign trade or customs roles.
- Solid knowledge of import/export processes and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in IMMEX, CIVA, IVA, IEPS, and OEA certifications.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Intermediate English language proficiency.
- Availability to travel as required.
