ESOP Specialist

About the Company

Hissa is a Bengaluru-based seed-funded Equity Management Platform that modernizes private market transactions, cap table management, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) in India. The company provides an end-to-end platform that manages cap tables, automates share issuance, and facilitates secondary-market liquidity.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ESOP operations and policy interpretation
• Handle lifecycle events including grants, vesting, exercises, lapses, cancellations, exits, and reporting
• Lead client implementations and migrations onto the Hissa platform
• Conduct product demos and technical ESOP discussions with founders, finance, HR, legal, and secretarial teams
• Create internal playbooks, templates, checklists, and process documentation
• Partner with the product team to translate real-world ESOP challenges into platform features

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on ESOP execution experience
• Deep understanding of ESOP structures, accounting, compliance, and taxation basics
• Ability to explain complex ESOP concepts clearly to various stakeholders
• Experience leading client calls and technical discussions
• Strong attention to detail and operational accuracy
• Background in ESOP platforms, equity management, advisory, law, or startup finance/HR/secretarial teams
