ESIS Senior Claims Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support for the Workers’ Compensation and Risk Management team.
• Coordinate intake for newly injured employees and determine assignments for adjusters or medical staff.
• Act as Light Duty Coordinator by reviewing programs with employees, assigning suitable jobs, and tracking weekly timesheets.
• Manage medical documentation, including scanning, indexing, and organizing reports within the WorkView system.
• Authorize prescriptions with the Tribal Pharmacy and coordinate MRI/EMG requests with One Call Medical.
• Process and pay local medical and pharmacy bills.
• Complete First Report of Injury forms and maintain records for OSHA log compliance.
• Perform general clerical duties including mailroom tasks, file preparation for hearings, and claim registration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in claims, risk management, or medical office administration.
