About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ESD control programs and procedures in accordance with industry standards such as IPC, ANSI, and ISO.
  • Ensure compliance with Bosch standards (N55, IPC 9704) and lead capability studies using Q-Das software.
  • Investigate and diagnose mechanical failures in products, prototypes, and field returns to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and coordinate mechanical stress testing activities to ensure product reliability and performance specifications are met.
  • Provide production support to solve issues related to ESD and mechanical stress affecting processes and machines.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of ESD-sensitive areas and equipment to verify protocol compliance.
  • Manage tooling and fixture control and definition according to CeFQ.193 procedures.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of five or more associates, including task assignment, scheduling, and coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronic preferred).
  • Proven experience in ESD program coordination or electrostatic discharge management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical stress testing methodologies and analysis.
  • Proficiency in FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation, or Creo Simulate).
  • Experience with Q-Das software for capability studies and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and mechanics simulation.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340-5-1.
  • Problem-solving expertise in Six Sigma, Shainin, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members on technical procedures.
