About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain ESD control programs and procedures in accordance with industry standards (IPC, ANSI, ISO).
  • Monitor and coordinate mechanical stress testing activities to ensure product reliability and performance specifications are met.
  • Investigate and diagnose mechanical failures in existing products, prototypes, and field returns to identify root causes.
  • Provide production support to solve issues related to ESD and mechanical stress affecting processes and machines.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of ESD-sensitive areas and equipment to verify compliance with established protocols.
  • Define and approve capability studies in production areas for new project releases.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address technical nonconformities.
  • Manage tooling and fixture control and definition according to CeFQ.193 procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronic preferred).
  • Proven experience in ESD program coordination or electrostatic discharge management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical stress testing methodologies and analysis.
  • Proficiency in FEA (Ansys, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation, or Creo Simulate).
  • Experience with capability studies using Q-Das software.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding mechanics simulation.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronics.
  • Leadership experience coordinating teams of 5 or more associates.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340-5-1.
  • Problem-solving expertise such as Six Sigma or Shainin methodologies.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members on technical procedures.
