About the role
Responsibilities
- Represent Base across key ERCOT stakeholder committees including TAC, Retail Subcommittee, Wholesale Market Subcommittee, and Demand-Side Working Group
- Conduct ERCOT stakeholder work in other ISOs
- Track rule changes and market revisions across major ISOs (ERCOT, PJM, SPP) and FERC
- Author formal comments on NPRRs, NOGRRs, and other market rule revisions
- Build and maintain relationships with ISO principals, senior engineers, and market participants
- Serve as the internal authority on ISO policy, translating regulatory developments into guidance for Markets, Utilities, and Long-Range Planning teams
Requirements
- Direct experience participating in ISO stakeholder processes or operating resources in organized wholesale markets
- Strong technical foundation in grid resource functions
- Ability to analyze complex market rules and meeting materials
- Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Clear and precise written communication skills for authoring comment letters and internal briefs
