About the role
Responsibilities
- Support a senior analyst covering listed companies within the semiconductor sector
- Build and maintain complex financial models to assist in the valuation process
- Contribute to thematic sector reports and cross-sector research collaborations
- Handle day-to-day client requests, specifically for investors interested in stock markets
- Communicate research ideas persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders
- Organize fact-finding trips, channel-check meetings, and investor tours
- Adhere to firm policies regarding risk management, legal, and regulatory rules
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Japanese is essential
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to solve problems with creativity and innovation
- Ability to thrive under competitive pressure and remain focused on client needs
- Comfortable interacting with business clients and corporate management
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to complete robust financial models (including base and sensitivity cases) with minimal guidance
- Deep understanding of industry fundamentals, competitive landscapes, and sector risks
- Ability to synthesize disparate information into a clear, compelling investment thesis
