Equity Derivatives Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance best-in-class Equity Derivatives platforms using low-latency Java
• Take ownership of technical initiatives from initial analysis through design, implementation, and delivery
• Design and build new quoting, execution, and risk management flows for algorithmic trading
• Build trader tools to improve business workflows, efficiency, and monitoring
• Perform latency analysis and optimization to ensure high-performance execution
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to implement algorithmic trading models and controls
• Proactively suggest and drive improvements to the proprietary eTrading framework

Requirements

• Very strong Java programming skills, including expertise in low-latency techniques such as lock-free data structures and low-garbage programming
• Proven experience designing and implementing high-throughput, event-driven algorithmic trading platforms
• Strong business knowledge of electronic trading
• Experience with messaging libraries and protocols such as Aeron, Kafka, EMS, SBE, or FIX
• Ability to work in a high-performing, fast-paced, and agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of equity derivatives
• Familiarity with time-series databases (preferably KDB) and Python for analytics and reporting
• Full stack development experience, particularly with React for building dashboards and tools
• Familiarity with AI-native development to accelerate productivity
