Equities Markets Risk VP

Responsibilities

• Set risk appetite for the trading portfolio and manage active calibration and monitoring of limits
• Collect and analyze market data to ensure risk is correctly captured, modeled, and capitalized
• Escalate critical risk issues or breaches to Traders and senior Risk Management Leadership
• Review and provide feedback on market risk models, including change governance
• Perform internal, regulatory, and scenario stress testing for the trading portfolio
• Lead and execute market risk projects of high significance, such as FRTB and One Risk
• Act as a strategic partner to the Front Office, providing credible challenge and guidance on risk-taking decisions

Requirements

• Established understanding of equities markets and equity derivative products
• Deep knowledge of pricing and risking models
• Demonstrated ability to employ quantitative methods to assess risks and forecast losses
• Experience with risk measures including VaR, stress testing, and Greeks
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a dynamic, pressurized environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire colleagues and collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engaging with trading teams to ensure scalable and controlled risk capacity
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing process efficiencies within a risk function
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in risk methodologies and reporting infrastructure
