Equities Market Risk Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of equity market risk across trading activities, quantifying and monitoring potential losses.
• Design and improve market risk frameworks, methodologies, and limits to define risk appetite.
• Independently assess and challenge the risk profile of trading activities, including concentrations and sizing.
• Perform scenario analysis, stress testing, and deep dives into emerging risk themes.
• Partner with trading desks to enable efficient risk-return and capital decisions.
• Leverage machine learning and AI-enabled analytics to build next-generation risk management decision tools.
• Monitor global markets and macro developments to assess implications for supervised activities.

Requirements

• Strong coding skills with the ability to independently build tools using Python.
• Applied AI and Large Language Model (LLM) fluency, including experience with agentic workflows.
• Strong quantitative skills with experience working analytically with complex models and numbers.
• Proven ability to perform scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Innovative mindset with a track record of identifying better ways of working.
• Proactive ownership and the ability to self-start to achieve finished results.
