Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and service support for deposition tools and process equipment
• Diagnose and address issues such as vacuum leaks, pump concerns, or mechanical faults
• Support restarts of vacuum systems and tools
• Assist with reviewing thin-film metrology results and analyzing tool logs
• Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment including compressors, gloveboxes, and chilled water systems
• Support spare-part tracking and consumables inventory
• Ensure smooth shift hand-offs and maintain safe, efficient operations

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of equipment maintenance experience in vacuum deposition, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related field
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems (high and low voltage)
• Working understanding of vacuum chamber pumping (mechanical, turbo, and cryogenic pumps)
• Familiarity with vacuum gauges, valves, and related components
• General EHS/safety knowledge
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with thin-film vacuum systems or inline deposition equipment
• Familiarity with sputtering, evaporation, or ALD thin-film processes
• Experience rebuilding mechanical or cryogenic pumps
• Experience in a startup or high-mix manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of EHS standards and codes
