Equipment Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide professional repair, installation, and maintenance services for dental equipment at practitioner offices.
• Diagnose technical problems using proper troubleshooting steps to determine effective solutions.
• Manage on-site installation and repair tasks independently while maintaining necessary tools.
• Maintain and manage appropriate inventory levels within the service vehicle.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and complete all work orders daily.
• Communicate progress effectively to team members and dispatchers.
• Comply with all OSHA regulations and company fleet management policies.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the dental industry.
• Strong mechanical background with intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Proven troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Intermediate computer skills for managing work orders and reporting.
• Ability to manage inventory and handle administrative tasks like expense reports and FDA forms.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and maneuvering large equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical School Certification.
• Vocational training or specialized on-the-job training.
• Experience with digital x-ray/software or digital CAD/CAM systems.
