Equipment Room Assistant

Responsibilities

• Manage daily athletic laundry services, including collection, laundering, and organization on a daily and weekend basis
• Distribute apparel and equipment to assigned athletic teams for practice and game days
• Monitor and track inventory levels of all issued equipment and apparel to ensure team needs are met
• Assist with the overall organization of the equipment room
• Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations regarding athletic equipment
• Support student-athlete safety and welfare through proper equipment handling and vendor coordination
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Equipment Manager

Requirements

• Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy under deadline pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database functions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations (Division I experience recommended)
• Proficiency in inventory control and computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years of experience in an athletic equipment room
• Athletic Equipment Manager Certification
