About the role
Responsibilities
- Responsible for engineering maintenance and repair of all utilities and manufacturing equipment/systems
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support to maintenance and calibration specialists
- Support manufacturing, utility, and engineering services during routine maintenance, shutdowns, and product changeovers
- Perform timely review and technical completion of work orders
- Support the Project Engineering Team to deliver projects within timeline and budget
- Partner with Quality and Deviation owners to ensure timely closure of deviation records
- Analyze and create preventive maintenance procedures to comply with regulatory codes and standards
- Work with the Reliability team to establish predictive maintenance programs (Thermal Scanning, Ultrasonic, Vibration Monitoring)
- Increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
- Assist with continuous improvement projects (Kaizen)
- Coordinate with MRO storeroom personnel to maintain proper stocking levels of parts
- Comply with all Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical/Instrumentation, or Chemical Process Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing preferred
- Hands-on maintenance experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing preferred
- Strong background in operation and maintenance of production and utility equipment
- Experience with SAP Maintenance Program, spare parts stores, or project start-up is an advantage
- Excellent computer skills including CMMS software, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of cGMP in Maintenance and Calibration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work occasional off-shift hours to support operations
