Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders, skid steers, track loaders, excavators, and water trucks
• Move, stockpile, load, and process compost and organic materials
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and report issues
• Follow OSHA and MSHA safety requirements
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience in mining, compost, or construction
• Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid Driver's License
• Compliance with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL with tanker endorsement
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
• Experience with truck loading and site prep
