Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Maneuver heavy equipment including excavators, front-loaders, balers, Bobcats, and bulldozers to process and load waste materials
• Perform daily machine stewardship tasks such as inspections, fluid checks, lubrication, and clearing debris from tracks
• Coordinate with office and field crews using two-way radios to ensure site priorities are met
• Adhere to all safety protocols and federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain facility grounds to uphold professional corporate standards

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Certification (Required)
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in waste, construction, or industrial settings preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, and kneeling
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) and basic math skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and moderate-to-loud noise environments

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Willingness and ability to obtain Transfer Station and Landfill Operations certifications
