Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely operate rubber-tire backhoes and mini excavators for underground utility installation
• Operate machinery in residential areas
• Perform basic maintenance, fueling, and greasing of equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, stakes, and signage
• Conduct pre-operation safety inspections and log results
• Prepare safety toolbox talks and complete pre-job hazard assessments
• Perform general labourer duties as required

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating rubber-tire backhoes or mini excavators
• 2-5 years of experience in a construction operator role
• Valid Alberta Driver's License with a clean driving abstract
• Ground Disturbance certification
• CSTS certification
• Ability to travel and work in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Fall Arrest certification
• WHMIS certification
• First Aid certification
