About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support for system and equipment optimization, upgrades, repairs, and modifications
- Coordinate technical support regarding engineering, regulatory compliance, quality, and process automation
- Complete maintenance activities in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies
- Assist during regulatory agency inspections, including providing technical support to the FDA
- Evaluate maintenance procedures and troubleshoot equipment or system failures to optimize programs
- Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system
- Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, ductwork, and P&ID plans
- Support operations during non-standard shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of Technical Engineering experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Technical Engineering experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Knowledge of PLC and Vision Inspection Systems
- Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour rotations
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical degree
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, specifically packaging equipment
- Understanding of Computer Serialization and Vision Inspection Systems (e.g., Cognex or Systech)
- Proficiency using a digital multimeter
- Strong technical writing, project management, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
