Equipment Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for system and equipment optimization, upgrades, repairs, and modifications
• Coordinate technical support regarding engineering, regulatory compliance, quality, and process automation
• Complete maintenance activities in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies
• Assist during regulatory agency inspections, including providing technical support to the FDA
• Evaluate maintenance procedures and troubleshoot equipment or system failures to optimize programs
• Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system
• Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, ductwork, and P&ID plans
• Support operations during non-standard shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of Technical Engineering experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Technical Engineering experience
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Knowledge of PLC and Vision Inspection Systems
• Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical degree
• Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, specifically packaging equipment
• Understanding of Computer Serialization and Vision Inspection Systems (e.g., Cognex or Systech)
• Proficiency using a digital multimeter
• Strong technical writing, project management, and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
