Equipment Install Technician II

Responsibilities

• Provide professional repair and installation services for dental equipment in practitioner offices
• Manage complex installation cases, including IO x-ray, Dry Vacuum, and ceiling-mounted equipment
• Lead small stand-alone projects such as mechanical room upgrades or sterilization center installs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems to determine effective solutions
• Supervise Level 1 Installers and assist junior technicians to ensure quality service
• Maintain accurate inventory in service vehicles and produce detailed service reports
• Complete all work orders and job-related paperwork, including FDA forms and expense reports, in a timely manner
• Communicate progress effectively to team members and dispatchers

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the dental industry
• Strong mechanical background with intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate computer skills for managing work orders and reporting
• Ability to maneuver large equipment and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing ladders
• Proven ability to work independently and manage on-site tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical School Certification
• Vocational training or specialized on-the-job training
