About the role

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the performance of semiconductor wafer production equipment within a cleanroom environment
  • Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on thin film tools to minimize downtime
  • Proactively address technical issues using physical model troubleshooting to resolve root causes
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed through real-time system entries
  • Comply with all environmental, safety, health, and cleanroom protocols, including hazardous chemical handling
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool availability and system efficiency

Requirements

  • Hands-on equipment experience with PVD or CVD processes
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to wear required PPE and cleanroom garments (jumpsuits, masks, hoods, etc.)
  • Basic math and computer skills for data input and following written procedures
  • Ability to stand continuously for a 12-hour shift and lift/carry up to 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AMAT Endura (PVD), AMAT Producer (CVD), or AMAT Centura chambers
  • Working toward an associate degree or formal training in a maintenance or mechanical field
