About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and budget for long and short-range equipment needs
- Improve equipment reliability and availability using failure analysis data
- Manage preventative maintenance programs, including monitoring and auditing
- Support craft maintenance technicians by ordering parts and managing inventory
- Perform inspections of equipment and parts
- Manage material handling, procurement, and logistics
- Prepare paperwork and planning for critical lifts
- Maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management
- Comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
- AS/BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
- Willingness to travel and relocate as required
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Ability to access construction sites or equipment yards in various climates
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience with construction or mining equipment
- 1+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Knowledge of CAD modeling programs
