Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and budget for long and short-range equipment needs
• Improve equipment reliability and availability using failure analysis data
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, including monitoring and auditing
• Support craft maintenance technicians by ordering parts and managing inventory
• Perform inspections of equipment and parts
• Manage material handling, procurement, and logistics
• Prepare paperwork and planning for critical lifts
• Maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management
• Comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements

Requirements

• AS/BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required
• Ability to work in both office and field environments
• Ability to access construction sites or equipment yards in various climates
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with construction or mining equipment
• 1+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Knowledge of CAD modeling programs
