Equipment Development Senior Engineer (Dry Etch)

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and CIP hardware for evaluation to enable early introduction and adoption of 3D NAND nodes
• Work with Fab layout and facility teams to ensure flawless installation and operation of equipment
• Develop and optimize existing equipment hardware to meet efficiency requirements for advanced 3D NAND parts
• Collaborate with process development teams to measure the benefits of equipment and hardware improvements
• Engage with peers on technology choices for upcoming nodes and translate needs into clear equipment requirements
• Build and implement advanced equipment monitoring and control methodologies
• Lead teams or suppliers on complex projects to mature equipment technology for technical advantage and cost efficiency
• Serve as a technical expert providing advice to senior management and initiating innovation through patents and papers
• Identify and resolve safety hazards following strict safety procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical/Electronic, or Material Science with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field
• In-depth understanding of dry etch equipment operation, working principles, troubleshooting, and tool installation procedures
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Remarkable oral and written communication skills for local and global collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to R&D dry etch equipment transfer and hardware design optimization
• Experience with Dry Etch pump, abatement, or chiller selection and hardware design optimization
