About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing support for existing equipment and assist in launching new equipment into production.
- Develop processes and procedures for building new equipment and execute documented changes to existing machinery.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform failure analysis investigations to identify root causes and resolve quality issues.
- Create, document, and execute protocols to support process or part changes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in existing equipment and processes and lead less complex improvement projects.
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with FDA, ISO, CAP, and CLIA requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business objectives and customer needs are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience, OR an Associate's degree in Engineering, Technology, Electronics, or a similar field with 4+ years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of engineering theories, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Proven ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the life sciences or medical device industry.
- Experience working in an FDA, cGMP, CAP, or CLIA regulated production environment.
- Experience applying problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or statistical analysis.
- Experience working with Electronic Quality Management Systems (EQMS) and Manufacturing Software Systems.
