Equine Center Grounds Assistant

Responsibilities

• Keep the Equine Center facility neat and clean at all times
• Maintain facility equipment and vehicles, including keeping service records and performing preventative maintenance
• Maintain facility records and charts
• Operate a tractor with various attachments to perform field, arena, and grounds maintenance
• Perform landscaping duties including weed removal, planting, mowing, and shoveling walks and driveways
• Assist with light carpentry and general facility repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Valid Ohio Driver’s license (with the ability to obtain and maintain a Decision Driving Certificate through Otterbein)
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Competency in general mathematics for tasks such as gas mix ratios
• Ability to read and understand instruction manuals
