Equestrian Stable Maintenance Tech.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water horses according to specific instructions
• Clean individual horse stalls, including manure removal and bedding replacement
• Unload and stack hay deliveries and load hay into wagons for distribution
• Manage manure removal from the university premises
• Prepare and maintain arena areas as directed
• Perform general maintenance and equipment repairs as assigned by the Stables Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience working with large animals, preferably horses
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (tractors, mowers, etc.)
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 100+ pounds
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive various vehicles and machinery
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and physically demanding conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on a farm or in professional stables
• Background in groundskeeping, general maintenance, or construction
