Equation Developer - AS/400

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions using IBM Integration technologies.
• Integrate core banking systems with digital channels or external APIs via messaging platforms.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of middleware components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration requirements.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture for seamless system communication.
• Monitor and troubleshoot middleware performance and availability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for middleware deployment and updates.
• Document integration flows, technical specifications, and support procedures.
• Design and develop display files, sub files, reports, and physical files.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of professional development experience.
• Strong expertise in RPGLE, CL, and SQLRPG.
• Deep knowledge of AS400 commands, including file, object, and query management.
• Extensive experience with Equation Core Banking (back-end files, data management, EOD cycle, APIs, and User exits).
• Proven experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Experience following structured SDLC processes and change/release management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
