Epic Project Manager/Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic implementation, optimization, integration, upgrade, and enhancement projects
• Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies
• Coach teams, Product Owners, and leadership on Agile principles and Lean delivery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team velocity and quality
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs and prioritize work
• Remove organizational impediments and proactively resolve blockers
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
• Track Agile metrics including sprint velocity, burndown, and throughput
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of healthcare IT project management experience
• 2+ years supporting Epic EMR implementations or upgrades
• 3+ years serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Manager
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean frameworks
• Knowledge of Epic modules such as Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, or MyChart
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
• PMP or PMI-ACP certification
• Epic certification(s)
• Experience leading Agile transformations in hospital or health system environments
