Environmental Test Lab Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on execution of environmental testing operations including vibration, shock, and thermal testing
• Execute qualification and acceptance test procedures with minimal supervision
• Support setup, instrumentation, operation, and troubleshooting of test configurations
• Configure and operate data acquisition systems, accelerometers, and thermocouples
• Interpret engineering drawings, test procedures, and schematics for proper setup
• Collaborate with avionics, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues
• Export and communicate test data to support post-test analysis and anomaly resolution

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in environmental testing within aerospace, defense, or electronics
• Hands-on experience executing acceptance testing (ATP) and environmental procedures
• Strong understanding of vibration, shock, and thermal testing operations
• Experience with thermal chambers, vibration systems, and data acquisition systems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and hardware requirements
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree
• Experience supporting aerospace flight hardware qualification programs
• Familiarity with standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540, or DO-160
• Experience with MES/ERP systems or digital test documentation workflows
