Environmental Technician IV

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance monitoring and investigations at the Faro Mine Remediation Project
• Perform data collection, water quality monitoring, sample collection, and geotechnical monitoring
• Conduct construction inspection, waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill response
• Complete QA/QC of field work and documentation
• Compile environmental and geotechnical reports and lead yellow alert investigations
• Manage trackers and support daily planning and coordination
• Utilize EQuIS for data management and reporting
• Prepare field notes, checklists, observation logs, and photo logs

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree or technologist diploma in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Biology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient in data collection and water quality monitoring
• Experience with QA/QC of field work and documentation
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg
• Valid class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, extreme cold)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at remote mine sites
• Experience operating equipment such as ATVs, snowmobiles, and power boats
