About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise segregation and packaging material for process
- Complete required paperwork in accordance with regulations and company policies
- Separate and pack hazardous material for transport
- Collect samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
- Ability to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
- Safe driving record for operating powered industrial trucks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Biology
