Environmental Technician III

Responsibilities

• Supervise the segregation and packaging of materials for processing
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner
• Separate and pack hazardous materials for transport in accordance with regulations
• Collect samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and departments to ensure production goals are met

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, Tyvek coveralls, and eye protection
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of experience specifically in sampling and receiving hazardous waste
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations
• Proficiency with Windows-based programs like Excel and Word
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
