Environmental Technician II

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork in accordance with practices and procedures
• Collect samples of inbound waste for compatibility
• Unload bulk liquid trucks to proper tanks
• Resolve and report issues with inbound loads
• Operate hi-lo and end loaders in a safe manner
• Maintain knowledge of waste streams and treatment protocols

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to operate equipment including forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Willingness to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
• Visual acuity and depth perception for safe equipment operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
• Basic computer skills for web-based training
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules
