Environmental Technician I

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste
• Segregate and package material for transport
• Maintain inventory and storage of hazardous materials
• Operate fork trucks and mobile equipment to move containers and load/unload trailers
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
• Visual acuity and depth perception for reading labels and driving forklifts
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments
• Willingness to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and steel-toed shoes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules
