Environmental Technician I

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers
• Load and unload trailers
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with regulations
• Follow environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
• Visual acuity for reading labels and depth perception for forklift operation
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment including respirators and steel-toed shoes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
• Basic computer skills for web-based training
• Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules
