About the role
Responsibilities
- Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste
- Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers
- Load and unload trailers
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with regulations
- Follow environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods
- Visual acuity and depth perception for reading labels and driving forklifts
- Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions
- Willingness to wear personal protection equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
- Basic computer skills for web-based training
- Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules
